  1. Nominations – MSP Board of Directors Every two years the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists undertakes a process to elect a total of nine members to the Board of Directors.  Any member nominated must be a licensed pharmacist in the province of Manitoba and a member in good standing of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists.   Nominated pharmacists should be aware that if elected, they are committing to a two-year term effective April 18, 2009, and should accept that Society work entails sacrificing some personal time for the welfare of the Society, and most importantly the membership.

Please forward nominations and requisite information by 12:00 noon, Monday, March 17, 2009 to:

Nominating Committee
Manitoba Society of Pharmacists Inc.
202-90 Garry Street
Winnipeg, MB  R3C 4H1

Nomination forms are available by contacting MSP at (204) 956-6681 or 1-800-677-7170 or email info@msp.mb.ca.

  1. Deadline to Respond – Annual Wage and Benefits Survey- The 35th Annual Survey of Income and Benefits was sent out to members in early February.  We would like to encourage all MSP members who have not yet completed the survey to please do so over the weekend and return by fax to (204) 956-6686. A change in policy at MPhA has resulted in approximately 200 less surveys being circulated to Manitoba pharmacists this year. Given that the sample size has diminished it is more important than ever that members submit completed surveys. To date, approximately 85% of the typical number of competed surveys have been received.

The data derived from this survey provides the most reliable reference for negotiating compensation for pharmacists’ services.  The surveys can be  faxed to (204) 956-6686. The new deadline to submit completed surveys is March 16th, 2009.
