- The Manitoba Society of Pharmacists (MSP) and Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association (MPhA) have reached agreement on a renewed consultation in an effort to gain greater consensus on the Bill 41 (the December 2006 Pharmaceutical Act) regulations. After months of discussion the parties have finalized an inclusive process which will allow all interested parties to participate in the development of draft regulations which will eventually be voted on by Manitoba pharmacists. - Annual Wage & Benefits Survey – The 35th Annual Survey of Income and Benefits was sent out to members last week. We would like to encourage all MSP members to complete the survey and return it at their earliest convenience. The data derived from this survey provides the most reliable reference for negotiating compensation for pharmacists’ services. The surveys can be mailed to MSP in the self addressed envelope that was provided or faxed to (204) 956-6686. Please do not send by both mail and fax. The deadline to submit completed surveys is March 13th, 2009.
- The Deadline for Nominations for the Award of Merit is Feb. 4th, 2009. The Award of Merit is bestowed upon an active member of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists in recognition for active participation and promotion contributing to the benefit of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists and the Profession of Pharmacy.
