- Update on Bill 18 – The Regulated Health Professions Act
- Attention MSP Members:
MPhA Council has passed a motion which threatens Manitoba pharmacists long standing legal right to vote on changes to regulations and the code of ethics. If these legal rights are lost pharmacists will lose significant control of their profession and practice sites.
Bill 18 - Regulated Health Professions Act as currently written indicates: a regulation made by Council “does not come into force until it is approved by a majority of the members:
(a) present and voting at a general meeting or special meeting of members; or
(b) who are voting in a mail-in vote or by another method of voting.....”
MPhA wants these sections deleted from Bill 18 thus removing pharmacists long standing legal rights to vote on regulations.
Please click here to print, sign and date a prepared document and then fax it to MSP at 204-956-6686. The responses will be collected and then sent to provincial government officials.

A brief, well written standard letter which was not prepared by MSP has also been included for your information. To view this document please click here.
