1. The Annual Wage & Benefits Survey - reminder to members – the 34th Annual Survey of Income and Benefits was sent out to members in early January.  We would like to thank those of you who have completed and returned the survey and encourage those who haven’t to do so at their earliest convenience. The data derived from this survey provides the most reliable reference for negotiating compensation for pharmacists’ services.  The deadline to submit completed surveys is March 15th, 2008. The surveys can be mailed to MSP in the self addressed envelope that was provided or faxed to (204) 956-6686. Please do not send by both mail and fax.

2. The Nomination Deadline for the Award of Merit has been extended to Wednesday, Feb. 13th.  The Award of Merit is bestowed upon an active member of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists in recognition for active participation and promotion contributing to the benefit of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists and the Profession of Pharmacy. 3. The Manitoba Pharmacy Conference is taking place April 11th to 13th at the Victoria Inn.  On-line registration will be available shortly.  We have a great line-up of speakers planned for this year’s conference – check it out at www.mbpharmacyconference.com . The conference brochure and registration form will be in the next issue of “Communication” coming in March.
   

 
4. The Manitoba Chapter, Osteoporosis Canada is pleased to present their third annual Cheese & Wine, Thursday, March 6th at St. Boniface Golf Club.  Last year’s event was a great night out and this years’ promises to be even better. The evening will feature wines of various regions and styles, paired with sumptuous cheeses to delight the palate and entice the senses. This is a great night out - lots of fun, an amazing opportunity to try new wines and get some education while having fun and supporting a great cause! Guest Speakers, and a Silent Auction!  All guests will also receive a gift from Perfume Paradise. Tickets are just $60 each  including a $25 tax receipt, tables are available for 8, Corporate tables of 8 are also available for $650, with $400 tax receipt.
