1. The Canadian Pharmacists Journal (CPJ) is calling for contributors to two upcoming supplement projects to be published in 2007:

         Practical Management of Vaccines – deadline for submissions Friday, February 2, 2007  

         Respiratory Care (including pharmacist-specific guidelines for asthma and COPD) –deadline for submissions Mon. April 30, 2007

2. Osteoporosis Canada, Manitoba Chapter is pleased to host our BONE UP Workshop on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Bone Up is a continuing education program for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Massage Therapists, Fitness Leaders and other instructors of exercise programs who treat and train individuals with Osteoporosis. Presenters will include Andrea Beddard BPE, MSc, Pat McCarthy-Briggs RD , MHEd, Emily Hunter (DipPT), and Marian Kremers BSc (Pharm). The event will be held at the Rady Jewish Community Centre 100-123 Doncaster St. from 6:00 – 9:30 pm with a light dinner being served at 5:30 pm. 3. The Manitoba Pharmacy Conference Planning Committee is pleased to announce that Michael Namaka will serve as the Honourary Conference Chair for the 2007 conference.  He will also be a speaker on Friday, April 13th for the session called - Breaking New Ground: The Role of the Clinical Assistant.  The conference will take place at the Victoria Inn, 1808 Wellington Ave. in Winnipeg on April 13th, 14th and 15th.
