Tim Pattern
Good Governance Chair
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Tim Pattern has been practicing pharmacy for almost a quarter of a century. After attending the University of Winnipeg and later graduating from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Pharmacy in 1983, Tim founded People's Pharmacy on Portage Ave. in St. James. His practice, in a busy medical clinic, gives him daily opportunities to work collaboratively with a host of other health care professionals such as physicians, nurses, dentists, physiotherapists, and applied health professionals such as laboratory technicians. In 2006, recognizing the importance of pharmacist participation in their self-governance, Tim was successful in petitioning for amendments to Bill 41, The Pharmaceutical Act that preserved basic and long-standing voting privileges for registered pharmacists with their regulator, the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association. As a director of MSP, Tim has advocated for greater member consultation, modernization of the board and committee structure and for a more transparent election process. Tim is married with three children.
